When it comes to the 2020 NFL Draft, last Thursday could have been the best night ever for Ohio. The top three choices attended The Ohio State University. In fact, Joe Burrow, Chase Young and Jeff Okudah were all coached by Ryan Day, the current OSU coach.

Then, consider how the Bengals and Browns fared.

QB Joe Burrow was the Bengals’ and the NFL’s number one selection. No one in cyberspace during this, the  first Zoom-like draft, was surprised. Burrow has all the tools to become the next on-field leader for Cincinnati. He has the arm and the athleticism to make the Bengals a real AFC Central Division competitor. Bengals owner Mike Brown has already sent Joe a four-year, $9 million contract ready to sign.

At pick number 10, we thought the Browns would be able to grab an offensive tackle. They kept talking about Mekhi Becton, the 369 pound tackle from Louisville, or Tristin Wirfs from Iowa. Little did the Browns know that Jedrick Wills, the elite offensive tackle from Alabama, would be there at 10. But he was.

Congratulations, Bengals and Browns! And a big shout out to The Ohio State University.
